Coalition        

The EasyLiving Homecm Texas Coalition is made up of organizations that have joined with EasyLiving Homecm Texas in a broad partnership to promote the creating of homes with basic access that are cost effective, attractive, accessible, visitable, and convenient for everyone. The purpose of the partnership is to develop and expand a framework of cooperation to further the missions and goals of the involved organizations.

Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas

The Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas, chartered in 1944, is an organization representing all segments of the residential building industry in the Dallas Metropolitan area. Its mission is to enhance its members' ability to provide safe, affordable, quality housing to the citizens of the local communities. The Association does this by:

  • Promoting positive public policy through active participation in the legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Providing industry information and education to the members and the public.
  • Enhancing the positive image of the industry and the members through training and encouraging ethical behavior and professional standards.
  • Making membership in the Association an essential element of a successful residential building industry company.

Texas Residential Construction Commission

The mission of the Texas Residential Construction Commission is to promote quality construction for Texans by registering industry members and residential construction projects; providing information and educating homeowners and the residential construction industry; acting as a resource for complainants; and offering a neutral, technical review of alleged post-construction defects.

The Commission:

The Commission is comprised of nine members appointed by the Governor: four registered builders, three members of the general public, one engineer who practices in the area of residential construction and one either architect or inspector who practices in the area of residential construction. The Commission members serve six-year staggered terms.

Commission Responsibilities:

  • Register homes and homebuilders.
  • Oversee the state-sponsored inspection and dispute resolution process.
  • Prepare and adopt limited warranties and building and performance standards.
  • Provide a voluntary certification of arbitrators.
  • Provide for the filing of arbitration awards.
