EasyLiving Home program acknowledged by National Association of Home Builders

The National Association of Homebuilders online article, EasyLiving Home Program Appeals to 50+ Home Buyers, acknowledges that the EasyLiving Home Program helps builders meet the needs of the fast-growing 50+ consumer market.

While the article initially discusses the how and why of the nonprofit's beginnings and its expansion into Texas and other states, it also notes the success Georgia homebuilders have had with the program, especially those marketing to the 50+ population.

The article highlights Roy Wendt of Wendt Builders based in Georgia because his EasyLiving Home design was one of the winners of the 2007 Livable Communities award; but the article goes on to state that the homes appeal to the general market as well.

"Some of the people who have chosen to buy an EasyLiving Home are younger families with children," said Rebecca Stahr, president and CEO of LifeSpring Environs, Inc., a marketing and design firm in Atlanta. "The features of these home touch everybody. . . . [even] the movers were really struck by the convenience."
